Chicago's Lincoln Park and the Lincoln Park Zoo

Much of Lincoln Park was a city cemetery until the mid 1800's, when, for health reasons, many of the bodies there were disinterred and reburied in other Chicago-area cemeteries.
​
The Lincoln Park Zoo was founded in 1868 and is free!
